AXIOM Global Entertainment Wire

Version 1.0 · Last updated 4 September 2026

Draft — not in force. This page is a working draft, published here so it can be read and checked. It has not yet been reviewed by a qualified solicitor, it does not bind you or us, and it may change before it takes effect.

Passages HIGHLIGHTED LIKE THIS are blanks that have still to be filled in.

1. Our commitment

The Wire is a professional tool that people read for hours. It should work with a keyboard, with a screen reader, at the text size you need, and in the contrast you can see. Where it does not, we want to know, and we will fix it rather than explain it.

This statement applies to globalentertainmentwire.com and every page on it.

2. Conformance

[TO BE VERIFIED BY AUDIT.] We aim to meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2 at Level AA. Until an audit is completed, this statement claims an intention, not a conformance level.

3. What is already built in

  • Keyboard navigation throughout, with a documented keyboard-shortcut sheet available from any page by pressing ?.
  • Escape closes every overlay and returns focus.
  • A light and a dark theme, remembered between visits, and the theme follows your system setting until you choose one.
  • Semantic tables with aria-sort on sortable columns, so a screen reader announces the sort state.
  • Live regions for status messages, so that a form result is announced rather than only shown.
  • Explicit empty states — a view with no data says so, rather than appearing broken.
  • Responsive down to a narrow phone, tested at 390px.
  • Text, not images of text, throughout.

4. Known problems

We would rather list these than let you find them.

  • A dense data table is a dense data table. The ledger and the register carry a lot of columns, and reading them on a small screen or through a screen reader is harder than reading a story. We have not solved this and we are not claiming we have.
  • Charts and sparklines convey information visually. Where a chart carries something that is not also in a table nearby, that is a gap.
  • One small touch target has been measured beneath an overlay at 390px in the signed-out state, and is on the list.
  • Colour is used to carry meaning in places — rising and falling, disputed and confirmed. It is generally paired with a label or a glyph, but we have not verified every instance.
  • No independent audit has been carried out, so this list is what we have found ourselves, which is not the same as what is there.

5. Reporting a barrier

hello@axiom.vc, or wire-feedback@axiom.vc. Tell us the page, what you were using, and what happened.

What we commit to: an acknowledgement within 2 working days, an assessment within 10 working days, and a fix or a workaround — and if we cannot fix it quickly, we will tell you what we can do in the meantime.

If we get it wrong, escalate through Complaints Procedure. In the UK you may also contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (equalityadvisoryservice.com).

6. Legal position

We are a private-sector publisher, so the public-sector accessibility regulations do not apply to us. The Equality Act 2010 does: we have a duty to make reasonable adjustments so that a disabled person is not put at a substantial disadvantage. [If the Wire is sold to a UK public body, that body's own procurement will require a conformance statement.]

7. Review

Reviewed at least annually, and after any significant change to the interface.
